One.EXE is a character in Woven Memories. He is a NetNavi program that was recovered and repaired by Eni Ijuuin.

He's a mysterious Navi who doesn't talk about themselves that often, instead choosing to work behind the scenes and monitor events from afar.

He cares a lot for Eni, not because he repaired him, but because the boy works hard to do his best every day and wants to support him.

Personality

One is a stoic individual who spends most of his time silently observing everyone and keeping an ear out for Eni in case he needs something. Warm him up just a fraction and that icy exterior melts into a cheery, friendly guy who makes for an interesting conversationalist.

He has a lot going on but doesn't let anyone in on his inner thoughts. Very rarely when he's quiet and contemplating his thoughts, he'll let his mask slip and if you're paying attention, you'll see a deeply pensive look that seems foreign on a Navi so young.

Once you've been determined to be a friend, he's quirky and teases on occasion. He's also extremely vulnerable to genuine compliments and affection -- well known to being reduced to flustered sputters if given any.

While he doesn't particularly like NetBattling, he finds it fulfilling to assist wherever he can. Although, the way he likes to assist people tends to be more akin to gentle nudges in the right direction instead of directly telling people what to do. He also has been known to battle in Netken by himself under the alias 'Ichigo', which he rather enjoys since it both means 'number one' and 'strawberry'.

He also enjoys reading literature and quiet moments where he can just sit back and enjoy being active.

Appearance

One is a red, black, and white Navi with blue and green accents and a large angular yellow scarf. He has pauldrons, arm guards that come to a point, and boots that mimic those of a medieval knight.

His helmet also resembles that of a knight with a long, thin, yellow comb that comes out of a blue point. The sides of his helmet resemble giant number 1's.

The patterns across his body are static rectangles, and across his arms and boots are v-shaped stripes. The end of his scarf has rectangles that constantly flow out of it. The scarf itself is very sharp and has few polygons, bending as if it was heavily starched and not true fabric.

He has no visible mouth, but despite that, he is very emotive with his tiny blue eyes on the black screen of his face.

His Navi emblem is a red number one set against a black background.

History

His history prior to meeting Eni is a mystery. He was found in an old server by Eni, broken apart and in danger of degrading further. Eni restored his data as best he could over the course of seven years and commissioned an artist to design a different frame for him as his previous one was too far degraded.

Eni named him One based off of several variables scattered throughout the code that referred to the program as 'Zero', seeing how this would be the next iteration and all that.

Since then, he has been by Eni's side, assisting him with whatever he can help with.

• Eni Ijuuin: Someone he cares deeply for and wants to protect. Has a mentorship sort of role with him.
• Reg Garret: A reliable boy who burdens himself with a lot of responsibility.
• Silver: A very weird program, but in a world that's very weird, they're actually quite normal.
• Ellen Stream: A strong willed girl who has a tendency to be reckless.
• Cometman.EXE: A good ally if a bit green around the gills. More clever than he gives himself credit for.
• Mel: Intelligent and good at keeping secrets. Has been helped out by her in the past.
• Iris.EXE^CR: Has accompanied Eni on many occasions when he visits Iris.EXE^CR on the many occasions where they hang out and silently parallel work. Is very fond and protective of her, despite knowing she is well capable of protecting herself.
• Bambi Achida: A sweet teenage girl with a whole handful of troubles to deal with.

Threads

• 2024-05-16: Dealing with Debugs - Iris^CR talks to Eni, One, and Reg about emotions and gets interrupted by Triese getting kidnapped.
• 2024-07-17: Arcade Dreams (of giant sheep) - Eni and Mel go to an arcade and fight a big bug virus that Mel put in one of the arcade machines. Mel gets giant Moloko plush.
• 2024-08-13: Into the blue - Reg and Eni go to the aquarium with Triese and Lan^CR both to check in on Triese and become friends. Everyone fights some WM viruses in a tank.
• 2024-10-05: Contain Yourself - Eni and Ellen help clean Mel’s apartment and organize stuff. Mel takes a look at One’s code and One can now use chips.
• 2024-10-07: history repeating - Eni invites Netto^KQ over to his great great grandma’s house so they could maybe learn things. An incomplete thread and therefore not viewable.
• 2025-11-25: Another's Shoes - Eni and Bambi switch places due to mysterious Arcana Virus activity and live a day in the other’s life.
