==Appearance==
Lan is 4'8" (148 cm) tall, with a thin stature. His hair is brown and spiked to one side. He has brown eyes, but the right is covered in bandages that wrap around his head. His normal outfit consists of a black sleeveless puffy jacket on top of an oversized orange t-shirt on top of a white long-sleeved shirt, alongside gray cargo shorts and orange rollerblades. He normally carries a gray bag around his waist, and is never seen without his diamond-shaped [[MagnoMetal]] amulet.

==Personality==
Lan is a kind kid who always strives to do the right thing, even if he isn't always sure what the right thing is. Coming from a society where everyone is evil, he fears being evil himself, going out of his way to avoid actions he perceives as mean or immoral. He has a strong sense of justice, but leans on his navi HeatMan for advice in difficult situations.

He is impulsive and energetic, but puts on a positive face in the chatroom to appear less depressed than he is. Among his close friends he drops the act, but is equally closed off about his emotions. Knowing the suffering that SoulNet brings, he feels that his own emotions are not worth considering in comparison.

==History==
Lan used to live an ordinary life as an elementary schooler alongside his navi [[MegaMan.EXE (Shadowfall)|MegaMan.EXESF]] and his parents Haruka and [[Yuichiro Hikari (Shadowfall)|Yuichiro HikariSF]]. His netbattling skills often paired him and MegaMan against evil organizations looking to cause havoc. One organization was [[Nebula (Shadowfall)|Nebula]], under the command of [[Doctor Regal (Shadowfall)|Dr. RegalSF]].

===Activation of SoulNet===
Following the kidnapping of his father and the occupation of the net, Lan, MegaMan and a team of allies tracked Dr. RegalSF to a Dark Chip Factory located at the top of Mt. Belenus. There, Dr. Regal activated [[SoulNet]], a network that digitized and united the souls of every human and navi in the world. However, he added [[NebulaGray]] to that server, a program that overwhelmed and corrupted these souls with negative emotions, causing everyone to turn evil. Lan and MegaMan alone were unaffected due to Lan's MagnoMetal, the only material capable of blocking SoulNet's signal.

The two attempted to delete NebulaGray, but were unsuccessful. MegaMan was consumed by dark power and stolen by Dr. Regal, forcing Lan to run away.

Lan eventually met a small number of other people unaffected by SoulNet's corrupting force, moving into an apartment with this new team. Together, they went on missions to survive their apocalyptic world and planned out ways to return things to normal. During this time, [[Mr. Match (Shadowfall)|Mr. MatchSF]] gave Lan HeatMan to use as a navi. In addition to Dr. Regal, Lan and his team faced off against MegaMan and Yuichiro Hikari, now working for Nebula, as well as many of Lan's former friends.

===Trouble in Creamland===
Contacted by a group of scientists studying MagnoMetal for use in PETs, Lan and his friends travelled to a research facility in Creamland to meet them. They were met with the corpses of the scientists, killed by [[Raika (Shadowfall)|RaikaSF]] under the command of Dr. Hikari. As they investigated the building, Lan agreed to help [[Princess Pride (Shadowfall)|Princess PrideSF]] regain control of her navi. However, an untimely power outage trapped him in an elevator with his father before he could fulfill this promise.

When the power was restored, Dr. Hikari took Lan hostage in exchange for the facility's research material. His knife slipped, and tore Lan's right eyelid open. With no access to a hospital, they could only perform basic first aid on the wound, and it has yet to show any signs of healing.

===Chatroom Discovery===
Lan discovered the [[chatroom]] as its participants were on a mission to rescue [[Triese Abysa]] from a kidnapping. He became uneasy as he learned his father was one of the perpetrators.

Despite his hesitance, he quickly began using the chatroom as a form of escapism from his dreadful reality. A sleepover with [[Netto Hikari (Keep Quiet)|Netto HikariKQ]], [[Netto Hikari (Falling Stars)|Netto HikariFS]] and [[Lan Hikari (Cross Reflection)|Lan HikariCR]] eased him into the concept of other worlds, and he quickly became attached to his new friends.

===Beach Party===
The participants of the chatroom expressed interest in having a beach party, and decided that Lan's Oran Isle would be the ideal place to host it, as it had the best weather at the time. However, they had to devise a way to protect their guests from SoulNet. Alongside [[Meiru Sakurai (Falling Stars)|Meiru SakuraiFS]], LanCR, and [[Jasmine (Cross Reflection)|JasmineCR]] he traversed the caves of LanCR's Oran Isle. There, they met a group known as [[Dead Hand]] and fought a virus called [[Arcana virus|The Lovers]]. Despite the interruption, they successfully gathered enough MagnoMetal to safely host the party.

Lan and his team enthusiastically set up the party, excited to see friendly faces for the first time in months. Once the party got started, though, Lan did very little, content to eat snacks with NettoFS and watch a beach volleyball game between EnzanC, BluesC, [[Enzan Ijuin (Falling Stars)|Enzan IjuinFS]] and MeiruFS.

===Forming Bonds===
After the beach party, Lan fell into a depression, spending most of his free time doing nothing. This was occasionally interrupted to hang out with [[Mellicent Kidd]], [[Shin Tao]], [[Casper]], and LanCR. He also left the house to fix the water supply in his own world, coming into contact with MegaManSF and finding a note from his missing mother along the way.

He soon discovered that [[Rockman.EXE (Falling Stars)|RockmanFS]] had also made contact with MegaManSF, confirming his suspicions that MegaMan was also connected to the chatroom. During this same meeting, Rockman, NettoFS and [[Punk (Falling Stars)|PunkFS]] helped him plan an attack strategy on Nebula.

He shows a singleminded interest in science, claiming that nothing else matters to him, condemning his family in particular. When not working on his duties for Nebula, he will be pursuing a number of research projects, often neglecting his own sleep in the process. He pays no regard to the ethics of said projects, and may be intentionally cruel, going as far as to kidnap and torture others for the sake of science. The favorite of his projects is MegaManSF.

The first clear memory Yuichiro has is a few hours after the activation of [[SoulNet]], when [[Doctor Regal (Shadowfall)|Dr. RegalSF]] offered him a position in Nebula. He accepted, in exchange for full access of [[MegaMan.EXE (Shadowfall)|MegaMan.EXESF]]. It took no time for him to adjust to his new life, aware of the old one only through secondhand information, and he soon convinced himself that SoulNet was a net positive on his life.

He did a number of jobs around Nebula, spending his free time developing Double Souls for MegaMan. The only time he left Nebula HQ was on a trip to Creamland to secure the [[MagnoMetal]] research they were performing there. Seeing them as a hindrance, he ordered the deaths of the researchers. A surprise power outage trapped him in an elevator with [[Lan Hikari (Shadowfall)|Lan HikariSF]]. When they escaped, he took Lan hostage in exchange for the research materials, slitting his eyelid in the process.

On the way home, he had a dream about his old life, featuring his happy family. He shrugged it off, but these dreams continued to haunt him going forward.

Lan is a kind kid who always strives to do the right thing, even if he isn't always sure what the right thing is. Coming from a society where everyone is evil, he fears being evil himself, going out of his way to avoid actions he perceives as mean or immoral. He has a strong sense of justice, but leans on his navi HeatMan for advice in difficult situations.

He is impulsive and energetic, but puts on a positive face in the chatroom to appear less depressed than he is. Among his close friends he drops the act, but is equally closed off about his emotions. Knowing the suffering that SoulNet brings, he feels that his own emotions are not worth considering in comparison.

Lan used to live an ordinary life as an elementary schooler alongside his navi [[MegaMan.EXE (Shadowfall)|MegaMan.EXESF]] and his parents Haruka and [[Yuichiro Hikari (Shadowfall)|Yuichiro HikariSF]]. His netbattling skills often paired him and MegaMan against evil organizations looking to cause havoc. One organization was [[Nebula (Shadowfall)|Nebula]], under the command of [[Doctor Regal (Shadowfall)|Dr. RegalSF]].

===Activation of SoulNet===
Following the kidnapping of his father and the occupation of the net, Lan, MegaMan and a team of allies tracked Dr. RegalSF to a Dark Chip Factory located at the top of Mt. Belenus. There, Dr. Regal activated [[SoulNet]], a network that digitized and united the souls of every human and navi in the world. However, he added [[NebulaGray]] to that server, a program that overwhelmed and corrupted these souls with negative emotions, causing everyone to turn evil. Lan and MegaMan alone were unaffected due to Lan's MagnoMetal, the only material capable of blocking SoulNet's signal.

The two attempted to delete NebulaGray, but were unsuccessful. MegaMan was consumed by dark power and stolen by Dr. Regal, forcing Lan to run away.

Lan eventually met a small number of other people unaffected by SoulNet's corrupting force, moving into an apartment with this new team. Together, they went on missions to survive their apocalyptic world and planned out ways to return things to normal. During this time, [[Mr. Match (Shadowfall)|Mr. MatchSF]] gave Lan HeatMan to use as a navi. In addition to Dr. Regal, Lan and his team faced off against MegaMan and Yuichiro Hikari, now working for Nebula, as well as many of Lan's former friends.

===Trouble in Creamland===
Contacted by a group of scientists studying MagnoMetal for use in PETs, Lan and his friends travelled to a research facility in Creamland to meet them. They were met with the corpses of the scientists, killed by [[Raika (Shadowfall)|RaikaSF]] under the command of Dr. Hikari. As they investigated the building, Lan agreed to help [[Princess Pride (Shadowfall)|Princess PrideSF]] regain control of her navi. However, an untimely power outage trapped him in an elevator with his father before he could fulfill this promise.

When the power was restored, Dr. Hikari took Lan hostage in exchange for the facility's research material. His knife slipped, and tore Lan's right eyelid open. With no access to a hospital, they could only perform basic first aid on the wound, and it has yet to show any signs of healing.

===Chatroom Discovery===
Lan discovered the [[chatroom]] as its participants were on a mission to rescue [[Triese Abysa]] from a kidnapping. He became uneasy as he learned his father was one of the perpetrators.

Despite his hesitance, he quickly began using the chatroom as a form of escapism from his dreadful reality. A sleepover with [[Netto Hikari (Keep Quiet)|Netto HikariKQ]], [[Netto Hikari (Falling Stars)|Netto HikariFS]] and [[Lan Hikari (Cross Reflection)|Lan HikariCR]] eased him into the concept of other worlds, and he quickly became attached to his new friends.

===Beach Party===
The participants of the chatroom expressed interest in having a beach party, and decided that Lan's Oran Isle would be the ideal place to host it, as it had the best weather at the time. However, they had to devise a way to protect their guests from SoulNet. Alongside [[Meiru Sakurai (Falling Stars)|Meiru SakuraiFS]], LanCR, and [[Jasmine (Cross Reflection)|JasmineCR]] he traversed the caves of LanCR's Oran Isle. There, they met a group known as [[Dead Hand]] and fought a virus called [[Arcana virus|The Lovers]]. Despite the interruption, they successfully gathered enough MagnoMetal to safely host the party.

Lan and his team enthusiastically set up the party, excited to see friendly faces for the first time in months. Once the party got started, though, Lan did very little, content to eat snacks with NettoFS and watch a beach volleyball game between EnzanC, BluesC, [[Enzan Ijuin (Falling Stars)|Enzan IjuinFS]] and MeiruFS.

===Forming Bonds===
After the beach party, Lan fell into a depression, spending most of his free time doing nothing. This was occasionally interrupted to hang out with [[Mellicent Kidd]], [[Shin Tao]], [[Casper]], and LanCR. He also left the house to fix the water supply in his own world, coming into contact with MegaManSF and finding a note from his missing mother along the way.

He soon discovered that [[Rockman.EXE (Falling Stars)|RockmanFS]] had also made contact with MegaManSF, confirming his suspicions that MegaMan was also connected to the chatroom. During this same meeting, Rockman, NettoFS and [[Punk (Falling Stars)|PunkFS]] helped him plan an attack strategy on Nebula.
